Write For This Site
Get free exposure on a site that gets a fair amount of people visiting it every day. (ADVERTISE ON THIS SITE FOR FREE!)
Question:
How much will you pay me for writing for your site?
Answer:
Nothing – but did you know that some sites charge you for writing for their sites? – we don’t charge you. We’re offering free advertising for you.
Question:
If I don’t get paid for writing for your site, why on earth would I want to write for your site?
Answer:
Free advertising, and besides us not charging you to write for our site, there are a number of reasons to write for this or other sites even when the rewards are not cash rewards or immediate rewards:
When you place a text ad for yourself on another site, do you get paid for writing the words in your ad? No. Sometimes you even have to pay the site owner to have your text ad placed on their site.
Writing an article for another site is like placing a text ad for yourself on a free advertising site or on a paid advertising site.
(or is like writing and placing a press release article on a site that gets a lot of traffic – except that you often have to pay those kinds of sites to publish your press release article about your latest site, product, service, discovery or whatever – this site does not yet have that much traffic, but at least it’s free to place your “sort-of-press-release” ad article here.)
This site’s traffic is not bad, though, and increases the more articles are added to it. Get an idea of the traffic this site gets
The problem with many free advertising sites is that they often do not have a domain name (website name) or lots of content containing words related to what you want you to advertise. Finding niche free advertising sites is not as easy as finding general topic free advertising sites – but you’ve found one niche site already – this one about working from home!
With a niche site (a site that concentrates on one main topic only – like “work from home” or “work from home ideas”) the site has a targeted audience, and if this audience is the same audience you are also targetting, guest blogging or writing for another site can be worth it even when you don’t get paid money for your articles.
Think of article directories – you write articles and publish them on article directories with a link to your site in your author box. Sometimes you are also allowed a link in the actual article itself. When you add articles to article directories you don’t get paid for that writing – you’re simply trying to get free exposure for what you do or sell.
Also, if you have a website or blog in some way related to the content on the site you write for, and you want to link to it in your article or in your author info area beneath your article, having your link on a site that has related content is better for your site’s SEO and Search Engine ranking than if your link was on a site that did not have related content, or that had a wide variety of diffrent topics – a related content category might help, but it’s better if the entire site (and domain name) is somewhat related to what you want to try advertise.
Leaving a comment and link to your site on a related content site (content related to your own site’s content) beneath somebody else’s article can also be good for your site, as long as you know for sure that the link you leave is allowed to be a “do follow” link, but leaving a link to your site in a longer piece of writing, in the main area of a site (like in an article on a site) is more important.
Even if you do not have your own site, wrting content for other sites can be helpful to you if you are allowed to leave your email address or telephone number in your author info area.
You should consider getting a site though, even if it is a totally free Blogger blogspot.com blogsite.
Writing more than just one or two articles for other sites also gives you the opportunity to have the readers of that site get used to seeing your name at the bottom of some of the articles, and if they like what you say in your articles, they may be more likely to visit your own site to read more of what you have to say or to learn more about your services or products. Writing more than just one or two articles about a particular topic, and publishing them all on the same site makes you like an expert on that topic – and maybe you are an expert on the topic, but how many people know that if you don’t advertise yoruself as much as you could?
You can get an idea of how much traffic this site gets (and also what sort of search terms people use before finding a link to this site in natural search results on Search Engines like Google) by viewing the info about this on our Advertise On This Site page.
Question:
Ok, I want to write for your site; what should I do?
Answer:
Be sure to read all of this and to abide by the rules too:
It is at our own discretion to accept or reject submitted articles for publication on this site
Family-friendly content only
A link in either the main part of the article or in the author information area should link to sites that are family-friendly, and that do not have pop-ups.
We publish your article only on this site – if you later see your article somewhere else online, it was not us who published it there
You accept any risks that may be assoicated with submitting writing for publication on this site, and any risks that may be associated with having your writing published on this site, or leaving your contact details or other personal details in the article or author info area
Writing needs to be unique and original, written by you, and not already published elsewhere online – we may check that it is not already elsewhere online
Topics to write about include:
work from home or self-employment business ideas and tips;
extra income ideas and tips;
your own story about how or why you started to work from home;
“a day in the life of” describing what you do from home;
an advert, of sorts, describing the services you offer from home;
an advert, of sorts, describing the products you sell from home;
an advert, of sorts, describing the money-making opportunity you are offering to others;
good ways to advertise what you do or sell;
- or email us first and ask if the topic you have in mind might be suitable – bearing in mind we may say yes, but upon seeing the article, may say no (or leave a comment or ask a question in the comments area beneath this article.)
As this site is meant to help others who want to start working from home, or who want ideas for ways to make extra income, your article should offer some tips or advice, or if advertising what it is you do from home, your product or service should in some way help those who work from home or who want to work from home
Only one link in the main content area of your article allowed, and only one link in the author info area
At the bottom of your article write:
copyright (and then your name and the year)
Author info: (and then not more than 40 words about you and what you do, including your contact details if you’d like people to contact you, and including a link to your site if you have one)
Your article should have a title of not more than 10 words, the article should be a minimum of 300 words, and not more than 1 000 words, and should have good spelling and grammar
no special formatting or columns – just plain old writing
you would email us, with your article either being in the email body itself, or attached as a microsoft word document or text document
you accept that we may somewhat edit your article if we see fit
You accept that you recieve no money compensation for your article being published on our site, and you are aware that although you may be trying to get exposure, we make no guarantees that you will, or that your link to your site will be clicked
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any hit counters we place on this site
Should you not be interested in witing for this site only for possible exposure and nothing else, and you rather want to try and earn some more-immediate rewards for your writing efforts, we suggest you try:
HubPages
Factoidz
( also see: Which site can make you more money? HubPages or Factoidz? )
or that you become a freelance writer
( see How to become a freelance writer and How to make money from freelance writing )
or that you try to make money from your own site
( see How to create a free blog on Blogger and How to create a free website in South Africa )
Also, we do offer “do follow” links in the comments on this site, so if all you’re after is a link to your site, and don’t want to be bothered with writing at least 300 words, then leave a comment beneath one of our articles instead – just be alert to the fact that we receive a lot of spam comments we don’t allow to appear on our site – your comment should be of a fair length (maybe at least 40 words, preferably more), should relate to what is being spoken about in the article you’re commenting on, and should contain good grammar and spelling (although we may edit your comment at our discretion to fix any grammar or spelling errors)
We’ve given you quite a few ideas about how to increase your exposure, or how to get links to your site, or about how to try earn some income from your writing efforts – now make use of these ideas!
Any questions? Ask them in the comments section area below! (and maybe get to leave a link to your site at the same time!)
Comments are moderated before we allow (or don’t allow) them to appear on this site.

Hi
Would you be interested in a bead weaving blog…? Where I would detail a specific project, say each week or maybe once a month?
And it would also give the readers an opportunity to purchase the kits to be able to complete the projects.
Inspired Beading
Hi Alta
That sounds like just the thing readers of this site might be interested in. You would be showing readers of this site how to make something that they can sell (or save money on buying gifts for people by making the gifts themselves.) If you link to your site in the articles you write for this site, ( for people to go order the kits on your site,) you’re also making an effort at trying to get some traffic to your site.
As much as we’d appreciate the content from you for this site, you could also simply add these kinds of articles to your own site, and then simply leave comments on blogs related to beading, self-employment, crafts, working from home etc, including a link in your comment of course, that links back to your own site.
You could do both too, though, write articles for this site (and for any other site that offers a similar opportunity,) as well as for your own site. Sites that get a fair amount of traffic (like this one does) and that relate to what your own service or product is about are good places to “advertise” what you do, in the form of writing an article for that site – just remembering to include your link to your own site, of course!
In your own best interest, articles you write for this site should relate, somewhat, to what is on your own site, but should not be the exact same as any article you have on your own site or anywhere else online.
Remember that writing an article for this site is similar to placing a text ad on a site for advertisement purposes, the difference being that we expect at least 300 words, that are not published elsewhere online, and that we do not charge you to “advertise” on our site.
