If matrics are not leaving South Africa or going to university or studying further right after matric, matrics may be taking a gap year, or they may start working in their parents’ business or they may begin an apprenticeship, if they can find one.

What are the rest of South African matriculants doing after matric? They’re generally looking for jobs for matriculants in South Africa. Far too many South African matriculants are ending up frustrated and depressed when they struggle for ages to find a job, or are unhappy with the discovery that any job they do find is paying way less money than they need or want.

A few South African matriculants will be happy and lucky to find a job that is “perfect” but there are very many South African matriculants looking for work each year, and not finding the job they need. Also, not all those who do study further will actually finish their studies, or even if they do, may still not find the “perfect” job in South Africa.

Perhaps they don’t want to leave South Africa, or they or their parents cannot afford the costs, and they get depressed trying to figure out ways to make money after matric, or trying ways to make money that end up not working out.

When South African matriculants eventually give up looking for jobs for matrics (and this may be as long as a year when the next year of matriculants are “out there” too, and who are also starting the whole procedure of looking for jobs for matrics) what is there left to do or try?

The answer should be simple, but many depressed and unemployed people – matriculants or older – are unable to think clearly, due to the circumstances in which they find themselves.

If there seems to be nothing “out there” after much effort and time spent trying to find it, then it makes sense that people need to make that “out there” come to them. To prepare to call it. To call it. Then, to treat it right so that it rewards them.

Looking for jobs for matrics can become much less of a nightmare if matriculants realise there are many ways to make money after matric.

Some ways to make money after matric may only supplement a job that does not pay very well, while other ways to make money after matric can become fulltime jobs, that pay well, if one puts in a lot of planning, time and effort, and if one is determined to make the idea work.

Matriculants may have to try a wide variety of work from home ideas before they discover what it is they like best, or what it is that has the greatest chance of working for them. Not all work from home jobs suit everybody equally, and not all work from home jobs will earn everyone the same income. Working from home is all about understanding that the more you put in, the more you get out.

For those who are beginning to think there are no jobs for matrics in South Africa, we have many articles on our sites that can assist matrics in discovering ways to make money after matric, but here are links to just 4 to start with:
